A Paragraph on Mahatma Gandhi
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was
born on 2nd October, 1869. His father’s name was Karamchand Gandhi and his
mother’s name was Putalibai. He was married to Kastoorba. His family was
affluent. He went to England to study Law. He became a great political leader.
He was famous all over the world. He fought for the freedom of our country. He
encouraged the people to boycott the foreign goods. He was a religious person. He
was honest and truthful. He believed in non-violence. He never hurt anybody. He
lived and worked for the good of his country. He loved all. People of all
communities loved and respected him. He led a very simple life. He taught
simplicity and self reliance to the people. People called him ‘Mahatma’. We
call him ‘Father of the Nation’. He died on 30th January, 1948.
