विद्या ददाति विनयं।
विद्या विनय देती है।
Knowledge gives humility.
(Two) -
सत्यमेव जयते।
सत्य की ही विजय होती है।
Truth alone triumphs.
(Three) -
तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय।
अंधेरे से प्रकाश की ओर ले चलो।
Lead us from darkness to light.
(Four) -
बहुजन हिताय, बहुजन
सुखाय।
बहु जनों के हित के लिए, बहु
जनों के सुख के लिए।
For the welfare of many, for the
happiness of many.
(Five) -
अतिथि देवो भव।
अतिथि देवता के समान है।
The guest is equivalent to God.
(Six) -
सर्वे भवंतु सुखिनः।
सभी सुखी हों।
May all be happy.
(Seven)-
वसुधैव कुटुंबकम।
पूरा संसार एक परिवार है।
The whole world is one family.
(Eight) -
अहिंसा परमो धर्मः।
अहिंसा ही सर्वोच्च धर्म है।
Non-violence is the highest
dharma.
(Nine)-
यत् भावो, तत्
भवति।
जैसा आप सोचते हैं, वैसे
ही आप बन जाते हैं।
As you think, so you become.
(Ten)-
आत्मवत् सर्वभूतेषु।
दूसरों के साथ वैसा ही व्यवहार करो जैसा आप स्वयं के
साथ करते हैं।
Treat others as you treat
yourself.
(Eleven)
ज्ञानं परमं बलमं।
ज्ञान सबसे बड़ा बल है। Knowledge
is the greatest power.
(Twelve)
पराक्रमो विजयते।
पराक्रम ही विजयी होता है।
Only Valor is Victorious.
(Thirteen)
यतो धर्मस्ततो जय।
जहाँ धर्म है, वही
विजय है। Where there is Dharma, there is victory.

श्रमेव जयते।
श्रम ही विजयी होता है।
Only hard work is victorious.

सत्यं वद, धर्मं
चर।
सत्य बोलो, धर्म
के मार्ग पर चलो। Speak the truth, follow the path of Dharma.

न दैन्यं, न
पलायनम्।
न दीनता का भाव लाओ, न
पलायन करो।
Neither feel helpless, nor run
away.
(Seventeen)
सा विद्या या विमुक्तये।
विद्या वह है, जो
हमें मुक्त करे। Knowledge is that, which liberates us.
(Eighteen)
सेवा अस्माकम् धर्मः।
सेवा ही हमारा धर्म है।
Service is our duty.
(Nineteen)
धर्मो रक्षति रक्षितः।
धर्म उनकी रक्षा करता है, जो
इसकी रक्षा करते हैं।
Dharma protects those who protect
it.

सिद्धिर्भवति कर्मजा।
कठिन परिश्रम से ही सफलता मिलती है।
Success comes through hard work.

लोभ मूलानि पापानि।
लालच ही पाप का मूल है।
Greed is the root cause of sin.
